Baby activity jumper ?

At what age did you put your baby in a jumper? I hear that it's not good to start them as early as 3 months but why? My DD is almost to that point where I think she would do fine in one but I don't want to stump her growth or doing anything harmful... opinions please!!! Thanks!

I waited until she was 5 months.  She was able to touch the floor like the instructions said and she has head control enough to not have problems, plus she is able to use the toys on the jumperoo.

We waited til 4 months like the directions recommended.

We put Drew in the jumper at 4.5 months.  He's just now really starting to "get it."  He can bounce around a bit and plays with the toys.  I'm not sure he would have enjoyed it before that age.
