before taking a nap? How many naps a day she he/she take? How many hours in total (including naps and night time sleep) does your 4 month old sleep per day? Thanks!
audrey is a horrible napper. she'll cat-nap throughout the day...i think it's because she is in daycare and is so curious and nosey and likes to see what everyone else is doing.
she sleeps 10-12 hours at night but wakes up once (sometimes twice) to nurse.
Ever since the holidays DD's sleep schedule has been off. But for the most part she stays up anywhere from 45 min.-2 hours. If we're lucky she'll do a big nap of 2-3 hours and then mini ones of 30-60 min. sporadically. By 6:30 p.m. we try to keep her up until at least 8/8:30 to sleep and she'll usually go until about 10/11 and then go down for at least 3-6 hours after that. but it's looking like she might be a night owl so I might have to push her bedtime back even more!
Usually about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Most of his naps are just cat naps and only last about 20-30 minutes. He probably takes like 3 naps. He STTN about 8 PM to 6-7 AM, so probably about 11-12 hours per day.
I wouldnt go solely on "how long can they stay up" as in how long can they stay up without crying, I personally look more at how long should they stay up:
At 4 months, their awake time (between any nap - not including overnight) is suggested to be 1.75-2 hrs.
Guideline for Awake time for babies Newborn 50-60 mins 1 month 60 mins-hour and 15 2 months 1 hour and 15 - 20 mins 3 months 1 hour and 20 - 30 mins 4 months 1 hour and 45 - 2 hours 5 months 2 hours - 2.25 hours Late 5 months/early 6 months 2.25-2.5 hours 6.5 - 7 months 2.75-3 hours. Some are getting more. 8 - 10 months 3 - 4 hours. Some are getting more. 11 - 12 months 3.5 -4.5 hours. Some are getting more if moved early to 1 nap
ETA: What I mean is, I know my baby can sometimes stay awake for like 3 hours, but that usually involved her being fussy after a couple hours and (before I tried 'sleep training'), I realized she sleeps way way better when I put her down (3 months old) at about 70 minutes after wake up.
Re: How many hours can your 4 month old stay up
Can stay up 2 hours max (although was up for 3 today and very miserable).
Takes 2 -3 naps. Usually 3 hours total.
Sleeps 10-12 hours at night.
