So after our last IUI was a bust we are officially looking into IVF.  I wanted to know.

1. Did you take a cycle(s) off before you got your IVF cycle started?

2. What day of your cycle does RE begin meds/u/s

3. Can you plan your ER or ET around a specific date?

1. Did you take a cycle(s) off before you got your IVF cycle started?  Yes.  My RE requires it.

2. What day of your cycle does RE begin meds/u/s.  I was on a BCP protocol so I took BCPs for 3 weeks (CD2-21), then had a light AF, then started the IVF meds. 

3. Can you plan your ER or ET around a specific date?  Nope.  ER and ET are dependant on how your body responds to the meds and how the embies grow.

1. I went straight to IVF, so N/A for me

2. my cycle started on CD21, with Lupron

3. no, it all depends on how you respond to stims

I had to because of cysts, I was held on BCP for 3 weeks before I could start Lupron

CD3 is ultrasound, meds depend on your specific protocol 

3. Can you plan your ER or ET around a specific date?

no, you will be given a calendar that has no dates on it after you start stims, you pretty much are day to day once you are stimming.

There's no way to plan for a date because you have no idea how your body will respond to stims.

I had a rough idea of when my ER might be, but I didn't know until trigger anything for sure

1) no. we went from futiley TTC the natural way to IVF without a break

2) I honestly don't know. I just take them when he tells me to.

3) No you can't. The ER depends on how you respond to stims and the ET depends on your embryos.

What I've learned is that you can't plan for any of this. I'm a planner. It's hard for me.

1. Did you take a cycle(s) off before you got your IVF cycle started?We did our last IUI in December and didn't do IVF until May.  After 6 failed IUIs I needed a break! 2. What day of your cycle does RE begin meds/u/s I started lupron on day 21.  Next time I am doing an atagonis protocol and will start meds on day 3, no lupron. 3. Can you plan your ER or ET around a specific date?I wish!  You might have more control with bcp of when AF will start but it just depends on how your body responds.  My first IVF I was on stims for 8 days, the second 10 days.

No, started right after a Clomid cycle.

2. What day of your cycle does RE begin meds/u/s

I don't remember--but it totally depends on the protocol, anyway.

3. Can you plan your ER or ET around a specific date?

No, you really can't. Stimming is so unpredictable, and then the decision between 3dt and 5dt is unpredictable. So you will only know give or take a few days when these things are happening.
