All,
I went to my first IVF check-in u/s appointment last week and thought it was the coolest thing to be able to see all the follicles. I'd like my husband to come in with me to tomorrow's appointment (he can stand behind me and look at the monitor without it being awkward) so that he can see them. Do you guys have your husband come in with you to the room for your u/s?

Re: DH in Room for IVF Check-in U/S
my husband was with me for every appointment and saw everything (except the ER and the ET, he wasn't allowed in the transfer room).
I am blessed that his job allows him the flexibility to make my appointments. And yes, he was in the room during my follie checks too.
My DH came with me to almost every monitoring appt. and then of course the ER and ET. I have no modesty left in all of this - he's been with me while i miscarried and all of the fert. treatments along the way. Although it seems awkward at time, it really does bring you closer.
Good luck with your IVF!
My DH came to the monitoring appointments when they were on a weekend. He would come to all the other appointment too, but he had to be at work too early.
He took the day off to be there for the ER and the morning off for the transfer. He was allowed in the room for both.
Good luck.
My DH goes with me to all the appointments he can. He was there this morning, my last appt before my ER on Tuesday, and he was surprised by all the large follies on the screen. It's not awkward at all, I like having him there.
On a side note: This morning, we were alone in the exam room and I was getting undressed while he was playing with his blackberry. I laughed and said, "gee...you're not going to look at me when I take off my pants?" He said, without looking up from his phone, "why should I? You're getting undressed for another man." lol

My H came with me for a couple of appointments. It was pretty comical actually, I don't think he had any idea what went on behind those doors, lol. His eyes got really wide when he figured out they were inserting a camera in my vag. Lol.
Anyway, it is cool, and if he's up for it I think he should definitely go.

my husband came with me to every monitoring appointment and was in the room for all of the u/s, even when I was still bleeding. He liked seeing the progression on the u/s screen, and I liked having him (discreetly) voice recording the doctor on his iPhone, so I could replay the visit afterwards, and keep track of my follicle growth, etc.
He wasn't allowed in the room or recovery for ER, but was in the room the entire time for ET.

Damn, I wish I would've thought of that! I've caught myself trying to remember what the RE said after I've gotten home from my appts.
