If you have a vacation house...

... are you ever there for an extended stay with the kids, alone?  Is it fun (like you have friends there) or is it suckity?

 

We're considering getting a beach house, and I could potentially be there for at least all of August, with my husband coming for a couple of weeks in the middle of the month.  I am not sure if it would be lonely when he's not there, as I don't know anyone else in the area!
