How is it to have a toddler with glasses? My cousin JUST asked me if I knew anyone. Her 2.5 year old has to get them because of a pretty bad lazy eye, and severe farsightedness.
She's a little worried that the girl won't tolerate the glasses.

I can totally understand her worry! Ian was a FREAK about anything on his head, would not wear a hat and when we first got the glasses, it was a nightmare. For about an hour.
Seriously, within a day, he was wearing them 100% of the time with no issues. And now, he says, "I need my gwass, cant see with out my gwass!"
So, tell her not to worry, she will wear them, it just might take a couple of days. And, there are things that the eye drs can do if they dont take to the glasses.
That's good to hear. She has her hands full, because she's got two little ones that are only 14 months apart. The last thing she needs is having to hunt for glasses every 15 minutes.

And Ian has little "hooks" on his that wrap around his ears. She might want to get a strap around the back too, just in case. Those things freak me out though, I am a spaz about choking and being strangled.
I set the expectations with Ian from the very beginning that he is under NO circumstances allowed to take them off with out an adult there to help. He never has! And the child follows instructions as well as a corpse.
We have only lost them once, and we didnt really "lose" them, they were on his dresser, where I set them, but they were under his monkey, which I was too stupid to move. So, it was me, not Ian that lost them, LOL!
