since we are talking Disney

We are going int 25 days!! Yeah, what is the best way to get tickets are they all the same price everywhere? and I was thinking this for our Itinerary.

Tues-Sea world

Wed- Magic Kingdom

Thursday- Animal kingdom

Friday-  Magic kingdom

Saturday Animal Kingdom

Except for Tuesday the other days will me1/2days to 3/4 days.  Do I buy separate tickets for each day or is there a cheaper way to do it?

Re: since we are talking Disney

  • Have you been to Animal Kingdom before? We went last year and didn't like it AT ALL. If you have been, maybe you think differently, but if not, maybe take that as a warning ;).

Also, Sea World has an option where you can buy a ticket at the regular price and come back as many times as you want through the end of the year. We did that last year, and are doing it again this year.

We are doing the free tickets for Disney, since we are only going one day. I am not aware of any discount sites and a 1 day ticket is expensive!

  • I've been looking into a trip to Disney too. There's a "park-hopper" ticket that seems to be cheaper. Hopefully one of the Disney experts will know more.

  • From the research I have done, a lot of people say there is not much to do at the Animal Kingdom We are doing

    Thursday- Magic Kingdom

Friday- 1/2 day animal kingdom, 1/2 day epcot

    Saturday- Magic Kingdom

    Sunday- Typhoon lagoon

Monday-??? I can't remember what we have planned that day.

We are buying park hopper passes so we can go to any and every park every day.

  • I hadn't originally planned animal kingdom but some other people recommended it.

I think it will be fun, but I think two days is way too much from what i have read.

  • I like Animal Kingdom, but I agree 2 days is too much there. I would get park hopper tickets and that way you can go wherever you want, spend half days at one park then another, etc. Epcot has some good places to eat and I hear that kids like the new Nemo ride there a lot. MGM.Hollywood Studios.whatever it is called has fun stuff, as well. So, I would definitely do Park Hopper.

  • I wouldn't do Animal Kingdom for two days, and I would spend some time at Epcot.  When we were there last March, Typhoon Lagoon was closed, but we spent a day at the other water park (Blizzard Beach, I think?), and it was a really nice, relaxing day after all those days at the other parks.

  • well i don't think it will be warm enough to do any water parks but I will look into Epcot.
  • I agree Animal Kingdom isn't a 2 day thing (the safari was fun!)...if your son is into Disney Pixar stuff, I'd do Hollywood studios.   It was nice to have a "show" day. We went in the summer tho.    The kids loved the Toy Story ride and like seeing all the newer characters.   I didn't think epcot was all that for little ones...the best part was the princess breakfast

  • we loved animal kingdom. We spent 2 half days there (from 10 to 5 or 6pm). Could've stayed longer honestly.

I thought it was not that easy or kid friendly to go from park to park... also because we were during the big crowd times, between Xmas and New Years... so some days Magic Kingdom was closed, filled to capacity it said. we were getting fast passes in the morning and then just chilling most of the day, or going to attractions which did not have fast passes or shows. I did not think hopping was at all that convinient for us.

I know some people want to see fireworks at a different park, so maybe it's good for them to add that option.

Otherwise it's one ticket per day. You can re-enter on the same day (if you go back to the hotel or whatever).

I am by no means an expert, but we just went, so it's still fresh in my mind.

We all really liked Hollywood studios too..

  • As far as parks and a schedule go, I read in one travel book to actually do the MK last.  It is the MOST child oriented park and practically the smallest, so they say not to set the child's expectations that each place will be like the MK and do it last.  A suggested route would be Epcot, Hollywood Studios, AK then MK.  We did this with our then 3.5 year old and he LOVED all the parks and there really was enough to do with them in each.  I suggest getting a Fodor's guide for children and writing down some of the attractions that you think they would like in each park which should help with an itinerary.
