Just curious! I had to stop earlier than I originally planned (stopped mostly at 8 months but kept am and pm feedings until last week). I miss it but it is kind of nice to be finished for a bit too![Poll]
I would have been happy to go until DD was two years, but she self weaned at sixteen months. I'm a little sad about it still, oddly enough. I miss that quiet bonding time.

I miss being able to snuggle/lay down with DS in the morning when he used to nurse. This is the only feeding we kept from about 11 months to last week but we both miss it now! It took about 4 days of DS being pretty cranky in the a.m. to get over it but now he seems better!
We're limping through to our goal of 12 months. In the past few weeks DS has completely lost interest (I'm sure it's related to my pregnancy) but I am being really stubborn about my 12 month goal. So close!
I would have kept bfing, but during the first tri of this pregnancy, I could hardly eat and drink enough for myself and the "other baby". I weaned and I am not sure he even noticed!
I tried to go for a full year but at around 10 months, I had to start taking some pretty nasty antibiotics that had the risk of causing intestinal bleeding in DS. So I didn't even really get "time" to mentally prepare myself. It was pretty sad.
I found the under 10mos option made me feel a little shortchanged lol. I stopped at 8mos but she so self-weaned. I never even became engorged she was down to so little at a time.
We're still going strong at 17.5 months, and I'm just about ready to start dropping a feed or two. There are some days when he won't take a lunchtime nursing (working days) but some days (off days) he likes to nurse several times during the day. He always nurses first thing when he wakes up and right before bed. I think I'll hang on to that night-time nursing for a few more months but drop the mid-day nursings followed by the early morning one in the next couple of months.
I did my last BFing session 11 days after DD turned 1. If I weren't pregnant and my supply was tanking, I would have kept going as long as she wanted. I was SO upset when I stopped, but I did it gradually over a month and DD didn't seem to notice.

I just weaned DD last week. I was planning to go as long as I could, but I contracted a stomach bug NYD and was unable to eat/drink much for 24 hours and it caused my supply to tank. I feel horrible b/c I wasn't ready and DD can't have cow's milk (allergy). We're using the remainder of my stash and then trying to transition to a toddler formula; I think she may have other plans about the formula (I posted about this earlier).
Re: Clickly poll: when did/will you stop BFing?
I would have been happy to go to 24 months, but Lily weaned herself at 15 months.
