has anyone gotten their tubes tied?

I'm seriously considering this.  We are 99.5% sure that we are 1 and done.  Having an iud makes me freaking paranoid.  If you've had your tubes tied, what was your experience like?  How long was your recovery period?  TIA!

I did right after DD#2 was born via c-section.  So my recovery was tied in with that.

I have heard/read that some ladies experience really heavy menstrual cycles, but I haven't.  I had one really heavy day during my period a few months back, but for the most part they have been the same, sometimes even shorter:)

Yes, I got mine done when DH was born (via c section). So my recovery was no different than the c section recovery.

My sister had hers done for medical reasons and had no issues at all. She was actually back to work in 2 days.
