I think it sounds like a really cute theme esp. since the movie is being released the first week of March. You may be able to find some cute decorations.

Yes please! It's still in early planning stages so no idea what's going to happen yet!
ooo thats so darn cute!! I picked the very hungry caterpillar theme for mine but man I wish I could change it to this! lol I think my sister would kill me though!! haha
We did this for my bridal shower, it was so much fun. We asked our guests to wear their craziest hats and decorated the table with different teapots. We had a lot of fun.
I'm due March 15, my shower is Feb. 7th & I told my sister back in September this was the theme I wanted. I plopped the Disney book in front of her and started rattling off ideas. I'm in the advertising industry so I had to have a part in helping plan the creative ideas. My sister took it and ran with it and it's going to be AMAZING.
We just finished my homemade invites last week, the basis is "A Very Merry Unbirthday" for our baby boy. I'm in the process of photographing the invites to post. I will also post pics of the shower once it gets here, I can't wait.
A few games we made up go along with the theme...I had my sister look up what card represents children/fertility since the Queen of Hearts and cards are in AIW...she found that it is the Ace of Hearts so whoever's chair has that card under it will win a prize.
We have small whimsical glasses that have a tag on them that say Drink Me for the younger kids that will be there (blue koolaid inside), and we put on the invites that people should bring their favorite teacup if they want to take part in our Mad Hatter Tea Party.
My sister ordered custom designed tea bags with my name on them as a favor in the giveaway bags. Also, whoever finds an old fashioned looking key in their giveaway bag will win another prize [like the key Alice uses to open the door].
We have signs that resemble those in the woods in the movie that point and say This Way, That Way to direct guests to the correct room in the hall we rented. Anyways, I could go on forever I'm so excited but I say GO WITH THE THEME there's so many endless possibilites. Let me know if you need any suggestions!

My SIL did this for her Sweet 16 last year. I made the invites. We used HUGE playing cards and attached with ribbon the invite. We used the cute sayings for the invite. "Rsvp by xxx or off with your head" & "Be at the Rabbit Hole by XXXX "
We had tea cup center pieces with daisies on all the tables, and lollipop favors that said Eat Me. The drink bowl said "Drink Me" .

So I have a looooong way to go before even thinking about this - but OMG, so awesome! I love all of your ideas. Reading this post, I still wasn't sold until you listed your details. Absolutely fabulous!

Thanks! Like I said there is sooo much more to it if anyone wanted any other ideas. My cake is a topsy turvey tea pot balancing on teacups and saucers. It's going to be so great. I can't wait for it to happen so I can post pictures!
