I looked into maternity shoots but it seemed so expensive! I would try putting an ad on craigslist & list what your willing to pay & make sure to note that it would be great for a photographer to be able to add those pictures to their portfolio (that's how we found our trash the dress photographer)
We're very fortunate to have a friend that does urban exploration photography & is interested in adding some people pics to his portfolio/talents. He came with us & did some of the pictures for our TTD session & they turned out great (we liked some of his more than some of the one from the guy we actually hired!). He also has been a volunteer photographer where we work (non-profit) for a bunch of events. He's going to do a maternity shoot for us in march & maybe a newborn session too! All he wants as payment is dinner! We can't beat that price!

We have him come to our house to take pictures of our family every year and the pictures come out just gorgeous. He is so friendly and takes his time and his rates are great! Very affordable! We also got an album and a disc with all of the images. Highly recommend him. Unfortunately his website gallery doesn't show his family portraits or newborn portraits...but they are great!
I am using Maria Linz Photography, she really is not expensive at all and I love her style. She is doing a progression photo shoot, maternity and newborn shoot for us. She is based out of Towson right off the beltway.
