BFing and the pill

This may be a stupid question.....but does taking the pill affect being able to BF?  I wanted know to figure out what BC options we have after the babies are born.

    There is a mini pill that you can take.

    You can't take the "regular" Ortho-tricyclin (sp) pill, but you can take the mini-pill.  I've heard lots of "I got pregnant on the mini-pill" stories, though.

    The minipill is the only pill option while bf'ing.  It is necessary to take it at the same time every day, and to immediately switch to a different pill after you wean. 

    Other options are barrier methods, IUD's (hormonal and non-hormonal), and I believe that Depo is also an option.

    I've used the mini pill and Mirena IUD while bf'ing, and have experienced no unplanned pg.
