I hate the waiting game!

So a little update from my other posts - I spoke to my boss this morning about the internal job ... she understands why I would do this and totally backs me up.  So much that she called the woman hiring and told her I was interested in the position herself and gave me a great recommendation, while I was in the office with her!  That was awesome!

The catch - the reason the position came about is because the woman who currently holds it is working part time - and they asked her - well more like told her that she has to go full time or they are taking the job from her.  My boss does not seem to think she will come back full time.  She also told me that right now in the process she has asked for what her severance package looks like.  Is this a good thing?  My boss again seemed to think this was a sign of her not returning.

They gave her until the end of the month to make a decision - ahh!  I hate waiting!!!!! My boss told me I would be a shoe-in for the position if it becomes available.  But I keep getting caught up on the "IF".  I hope it all works out
