Breastfeeding

another My Breast Friend question

i am already concerned about feeding a nb and chasing my 2 yo come this April.  dd, like most nb, was a super slow eater and i cannot invision my life now with a todder like it was with her as a nb.  i don't see myself sitting in a glider the first 8 wks bfing for an hour at a time.

so, my question is, can you get up with My Breast Friend pillow on and continue to feed your lo?  i don't mean like load the dishwasher, lol, but like get up and walk to next room?

luckly i know this phase is short with bfing a nb but i am worried about the first couple months and seeing if maybe this product might help.

Re: another My Breast Friend question

  • i suppose you can but i thought the my breast friend was too cumbersome and ended up ditching it.  it was more comfortable to crade dd in my arms to bf than use that or the boppy.

  • I walk around with mine all the time.  I like it because it clasps (or velcros)  closed so it's not going anywhere.  While DD is feeding, I can get up and refill my water glass and simple things like that.

  • yes you can.  I didn't get my brest friend until my DD was 8 months old and almost 18lbs and I could clasp it and walk around 1 handed and it would stay put.  I think the boppy was more comfortable while sitting however the MBF was more versatile if you need to go places and nurse it is much more firm therefore the baby lays on it and doesn't slide into you.  HTH
  • Yes. I've done it to go check on or help my three year old. I hope your  toddler is as easy as my little boy is about me constantly feeding his brother.
  • I got mine only today, but this thing is awesome. It stays on really well.

  • Have you ever watched 18 Kids & Counting?  Michelle Duggar walks around with her MBF all the time!  I plan to get one when/if we ever have another LO.  My DS took 45-60 minutes to eat, 8 times a day, for the first 3 months of his life!  There's no way I could feed LO#2 and chase DS around at the same time.
