The Name Game

So DH & I really haven't picked any names and we're team green so we need one of each to boot. We talk about names but he's so freaking stubborn he won't back down on a name I really don't like, so we don't talk about it much... so last night I finally got him to tell me he wants to wait until the hospital. Its more so the boy name we can't decide on, the girl is going to be Aldina (AL-Dina) for the first name and the middle name is up for grabs at the moment but I think I'll get my way which will be Ann-Marie which is my two sisters middle names, DH likes Annamaria better, I say thats too many A's. Its the boy name we just can't decide on, though we have a list of 4 or 5 names we like so I finally got him to admit he just doesn't know and wants to wait until the baby is born to decide! I'm glad we can stop discussing it for a while!

You're so nice.  I had a name that I loved for a first name and didn't really give DH a choice.  I told him "we're naming the baby Asher, since I picked the first name you can choose the middle"  I must always be unreasonable...because he didn't look surprised and didn't argue.  Just casually mentioned that he would like it if we could name the baby Benjamin, but since my heart was set on Asher, Benjamin could be the middle name.  Done.

Yep,  I'm with PP.  I told DH if we were having a girl the name is already decided and non negotiable.

But on another note, the boy name is totally up to him.  I have veto power but it is his job to find and pick a name.  Needless to say, we still don't have a name for our little boy.
