I bought all the pads and undies today my sister said I would need PP and I seriously think I could soak up hurricane Katrina right now! How much did all this disaster relief cost? I am at about 100 bucks!
Haha I stocked up too. Even had a coupon for buy 1 get 1 free. I haven't bought huge pads in like 10 years now.
I have never really been much of a pad wearer but I guess I have to now. Man I am so glad someone invented tampons! My sis made me get Kotex over night the stay free big ones with wings for when my flow is heavy and a box of the kotex regular. Like I said I could soak up a flood!
Holy cow! I bought two bags of pads and that was it. Everyone keeps telling me it's not as bad as I think it's going to be.
It's not. You've only got so much in there, right? Everyone's experience is different. I wore the hospital pillow pads for two days, then on my last day tried my own "regular flow" pad, and it was fine. I just had to change it often, like every hour and a half or so. The flow slowed down a lot by the end of the week, and I was in liners only by the next week. I wore liners for about three weeks.
My sister said I should only have a week of leaking bad but will probably always want an overnight one so I can go longer so the huge pads I didn't buy a very big bag of then I bought the kotex ultra thin regular for the rest of the time. I think I have enough just feels weird though to not just pick of a pack of tampons!
I have always infiniti overnight with megawings, stayfree overnights, stayfree heavy flow and kotex regular. At least they are all the super thin ones.
The new Always Infinity are great... they really soak up a lot and are super light weight. I started wearing them once the bleeding got to period like levels.

That's what I figured. I know the hospital will send me home with some of the really huge ones and as long as I change them frequently it shouldn't be an issue.

Yeah mine are too! Actually pads and undies were only like 40 with all new underwear (I am a thong only kind of girl) am including all of DH and I's travel stuff for the hospital a new bag my lotion and my booby cream for the 100.

I guess I am so used to my periods ( I bleed to death LOL) so I figure I will need all them and my sister said she hates the hospital pads because they don't have a sticky back so she even takes her own pads to the hospital.

Our sisters must be related. Mine told me to pack pads for the hosptial because she hated the ones that they gave her. Same with the mesh undies.

Do we have the same sister?! I figure we are a lot a like so if she feels that way I will too. Its so nice to have a sister who walked the bloody gory post partum walk first isn't it?

Maybe we do. Yes, it is very nice to get advice on pads from someone who has been through this before.

I've had several friends get really bad rashes from using Always postpartum.
The hospital pads I had last time have a sticky back, must just depend on the brand.
