TTC after 35

Fark! I knew it.

You don't even have to guess why I am a pissy person tonight.  After second guessing if we should keep trying earlier in the week, you know my cycle ended in ashes.

Honestly, I do not know how many more periods I can handle.  Seriously.  The pain of the cramps, clotting (TMI...sorry), and the excess bleeding has me wondering how long I can keep my uterus.  It really needs to go, but I really want another baby.  URRGH.  I was feeling better about keeping on trying...until today.  I cannot stand another AF visit.  My periods suck.  Wine is not even helping after 800 mg of Motrin.  EFF off AF!

  • Oh man, I'm really sorry.  What kinds of things are/have you done to relieve pain besides Motrin?  Have you tried any herbal remedies?  I'm not talking marijuana or anything like that,Wink but black cohosh or EPO.

I hope it eases up for you.  Big hugs.

  • So sorry that AF is really bad, hopefully it will end soon and you will feel better.
  • I'm sorry about AF and the bad periods.  I am the same.  I have terrible cramps. Also, I have short cycles so I get AF and the cramping every three weeks. It is awful.  I was on bcp almost my whole life b/c it helped so much.  This AF was post bcp (b/c of IVF) and it is sooooooo nice.  Very light period, no cramping.  I wish I had some advice for you, but I haven't found that anything helps.  Motrin and a heating pad is all I have found that provides any relief at all.

  • So sorry!  If it helps, you can send her to me, I've been looking for her for a few months...

I hope you feel better soon!  I have used thermacare wraps on my abdomen so I don't have to stay in one place but still have the soothing heat

  • Ugh...I feel your pain.  I'm sorry that AF is so tough for you.

When I was going to acupuncture my therapist was very interested in the amount of cramps and clotting I got with my period.  Although it didn't help get me PG, I can say with 100% certainty that I noticed fewer PMS symptoms and my less cramping and clotting with my periods.  FWIW I was also taking the herbs he prescribed along with my treatments.

    Hope you feel better soon.

  • I'm so sorry :( You've been having a bit of a rough time lately, I really really really hope that the next cycle is the one for you!
