if you supplement with formula

Which one do you use? Is there a brand that's easiest for a formerly BF'ed baby to digest? Share your experience!

Re: if you supplement with formula

  • I know Nestle Good Start has natural cultures in it (similar to breastmilk) and no other formula has that. My DD (who was bf until 9 mos) never liked Good Start but loved Similac Advance or Enfamil.

  • Similac advanced earlyshield for immune .  She only gets about 3oz a day now but it's what the hospital suggested because i knew i needed to supplement from the beginning.
  • I use the ready to use Similac formula (its in a blue box).
  • We use the Enfamil Premium because that's what the free sample from the hospital was. He took it fine when we had to start supplementing so we've stuck with that one.

  • We got Similac advanced formula (with iron) at the hospital, and we were told it was the closest thing to breastmilk in a formula.  I supplement with it and DS's poop changes color, but the pedi says that's normal.

  • We use Similac Advance because that's what the hospital gave us.  Our twins have done great with it.  Haven't had any problems going back and forth between that and BFing.
  • I use parent's choice which is wal-mart's off brand.
