seriously- how long is it going to take this kid to fall asleep

we are now about 2hrs in to CIO  (on and off crying and silence - not straight and no more than 10 mins at once).  He still isn't asleep.  I was trying to help him through his first wakeup (10:30-11).  Now we are approaching 1am which was my set time in my head that if he woke up I would nurse him.

But now if I nurse him I will undo everything we just did right? unless he gets a solid chunk of sleep in first?

this sucks

    i have the 'do what you need to' attitude when it comes to getting my child to sleep.. if shes fighting it and i need to take her for a car ride, than i do it. i will rock her, dance with her, sleep with her, ANYTHING.

    this is why i would big fat fail at sleep training.
