Babies: 9 - 12 Months

baby food questions

At 6 months, how many times does/did your LO eat solids a day, and how much at each feeding?

Re: baby food questions

  • DD is eating solids 2-3 times a day. She finishes a whole 1st foods container. She also has 2-3 tbsp of Oatmeal in the morning/brunch.

  • 3 times a day, 3-4 oz per meal
  • I try to give him at least 2 attempts at solids a day, but he isn't really into purees. He simply refuses and has no interest in solids some days. Other days he'll eat maybe once a day. He is more into solids so I've kind of skipped ahead to more finger foods. I've stopped stressing, he'll eat when he's ready I figure.

  • She ate 2 times a day; fruit and oatmeal in the morning and veggies for dinner.  I made her food so I would fill a food cube.  I think it's like 3-4 oz.

  • 2 meals a day and a lunch snack.

    Morning: oatmeal + fruit concoction
    Lunch: Mum mums
Dinner: Veggie and Yogurt (which is very messy btw)

  • We started out doing cereal at breakfast (I honestly don't remember how much), veggies at lunch & dinner (1 4oz container at each sitting).  Once we made it through all the veggies (we waited 3 days in between introducing each new one) we started fruits at breakfast & lunch (4oz at breakfast and 2oz each of fruit & veggies at lunch).  So, our day looks like this:

8oz bottle when he wakes up.

4oz of fruit about an hour and a half later.

    6oz bottle at noonish.

    2oz of fruit & 2oz of veggies at 3:30ish.

    4oz of veggies at 7ish.

8oz bottle at bedtime (around 9).
