Napping and teething

DS has been eating less but napping more. I think he's teething his molars b/c his cheeks are red, he's super drooly, and chews on everything directing his chew object toward the back of his mouth at the sides.

In theory, could he be napping more frequently since his quality of sleep isn't great? Or could it be something more?  He doesn't have a fever.

  • On another note, how many teeth does he have? My dd is doing the same thing your son is minus the long naps but she only has her bottom 2.  She always pushes her hands toward the back and sides of her mouth too.

How long is he sleeping for at night? If not much he could definitely be making up for it during the day.

  • He's got 8 so far. 4 top and 4 bottom. (central and lateral inscisors)

    Normally he STTN from 8:00pm-7:30am.

Recently he'll wake up screaming and calms down easily when we go in his room and falls back asleep.  He has been getting up at 6am lately too.

Thanks! Smile BTW I'm a huge fan of your son's name. We waffled between Reid and Kash for a while before Reid stuck.

  • It is funny you say that because we always loved Reid!  I wanted Kash to have the same intitials as DH so we had Reid picked out for a middle name from the very beginning.  We ended up changing it to Lewis...after his father who passed away.
