    i have a long commute each day....i work close to the airport.  but, i drive through fort mill to get to waxhaw so that i can avoid 485....no way am i dealing with THAT every day.  so, because i have such a long commute, i go through the gamut of moron drivers.

    Gotcha. I used to have to take 485 to work and it was horrible. I work uptown so I have to deal with 74 or Monroe Rd every morning and afternoon. But I am going to start taking the bus again on Monday. It is so much less stressful and only $21 a week as apposed to the $60 I pay in gas a week and the wear and tear on my car.

    mileage wise taking 485 would be shorter for me, but i think i would end up with some serious road rage if i had to deal with that $hit every day.  yesterday it took me 40 minutes to go from the woodlawn exit to the tyvola exit (they are one exit apart) due to a 6 car accident....only one lane on 77 was open!!!!!

    Yikes!

     

    DH works off South Blvd so he has to take 485 every morning and evening. But he goes in early and gets off late so he misses most of it.
