Will it ruin my clothes?

Well apparently the water will be off AGAIN today.  Yesterday it was off all day until about 8pm. This morning I started laundry early and just put another load in when the water stopped mid fill. 

Will my clothes get ruined sitting in a litle water and detergent?

No, not unless they get too mildewy (is that a word?).  I feel your pain.  We moved into a historic house a month ago and so far we've had 1) a broken toilet for 2 days (interesting when it's a 1 bathroom house), 2) a broken kitchen sink for 3 days and 3) (currently) a leaking hot water heater.  Not to mention single pane windows with 17 degree nights making the house freeeezing cold.  Good luck with your water!

Thanks ladies! 

I hope the water isn't off for too long. I've got a lot to do today and much of it involves water!  I wasted yesterday  b/c of it, I hope that today isn't going to be the same thing.
