Radian Car seats

Does anyone have one?  i am trying to choose between this and the britax marathon.  I am assuming if i get the radian that goes to 80lbs that i wont need a booster after so its a long term item.  the britax only goes to 65 lbs.

also do you have the sl or the xtsl?  trying to decide also if the xtsl is worth the extra money

Re: Radian Car seats

  • I have the radian 80, not the xlt, but the one before that.  I love it for my 3 year old, who I bought it for.  First, make sure it will fit in your car rear facing, because it won't in mine.  Second, keep in mind that it will be longer before your LO will be able to see well out the window.  DD will use it for 3+ years, the DS will use it for 3+ years, so it is worth it to us.  We used a roundabout for DD from 1-3 and it worked great.  She was rear facing until 28 months and it installed in all the cars we had it in.

  • My DS will be 5 in March and he's in the Radian80.  He always says he's comfortable, but he does like the Regent in my car better (just because it has more space).  The Radian is very skinny (which is why you can fit 3 across), but it's also SO easy to move between cars and even on a plane, because it fold in half.

ETA:  I never used it RF, but it's VERY tall.
