Babies: 9 - 12 Months

I have no clothes for M

He is just moving up to 12 month clothes.

I went out to buy stuff, but all the spring stuff is out and I cannot find anything in his size on the sale racks.

I usually buy all carter's, but that's not working for me.

I went to gymboree and got 2 onesies and 2 pair of pants and the register said like 60 something dollars....so back went those...

I looked at the Children's place and gap and I'm not finding much.

So I am currently smooshing him into 9 months stuff and waiting for a coupon from somwhere!

  • or for me...

I need sweaters and thought I'd get some great deals this weekend @ the mall.  Mostly spring stuff was out.  damn!

  • OMG, I'm in the opposite book, with Xmas, I have soo many darn clothes for him now it's unreal.

I think I have bought him about 3 or 4 outfits ever.  The rest is all grandmas and aunts.

  • Did you try Old Navy? their prices are pretty reasonable. You can also go to Oldnavyweekly.com and print of a coupon

  • Ugh this is what I'm afraid of. DS is growing so fast and I'm worried he'll be out of nine months in a couple weeks (9m is getting tight now) and since we are broke at the moment, I just can't go out and get a whole new wardrobe. My stockpile of clothes before he was born was up to 9m. I'm thinking that inside snow days will be spent in jammies a lot. *sigh*

that's true...I just don't know about their sizing.  aren't they 6-12 months?  I'm not sure if I should do 6-12 or 12-18.  He's skinny but tall.

Old Navy is tough. I've found their sizing is on the small end. I'd go with 12-18.

  • Try Belks, the entire baby department is on sale. I had to buy 12 months as well. Shes getting too long for the 9 months :(. Shes skinny but so long. I knew i needed to get winter ones before they sale out and put all the spring ones out. I spent 20 dollars and got 4 sleepers.

Walmarts Carters brand, called Child of Mine had some for 7 dollars as well

  • We're in the same boat. Except he's pushing out of 12month and into 18mo.

I also find it very difficult to find clothes that are age appropriate for him at 6mo old in the 18mo old sizing. It's ridiculous. I need footed sleepers and all the ones I can find are ginormously long or don't have feet.

    This!!

  • Try consignment! DS wears all Carters, Baby Gap and Gymboree and I've never spent more than $20 at a time. Case in point, I went last weekend and he got a gap wool coat (tags still on!), 2 long sleeved gap onesies, a pair of childrens place jeans, two footed carters sleepers and 2 pairs of gymboree comfy pants for $20 bucks. Most stuff runs between $2.50 and $6.00 plus some of the $ goes back to the mamma who supplied it to the store in the first place . It's a win win!
  • I went to the Carters Outlet this last weekend and got 3 outfits, 1 swimsuit, and 5 pairs of pajamas in the 12m size for $60.  I also got 3 outfits in the 12m size at JC Pennys for $10 on clearance (all winter outfits).

That's exactly where I go. :) I thought it was a local chain so I didn't list the name. Go there, you won't regret it!

I don't know if there is one in Guelph, but maybe we could go out for lunch or coffee and then hit the nearest one? Trent is starting to bust out of his 6-9s...

  • Yeah, I'm dealing with the same thing now.  We just got TONS of 9 month clothes for Christmas...well wouldn't you know now he needs 12 month?!  He moves through clothes so quick...we have lots of 6-9 month he hasn't even worn yet. But of course I have already de-tagged and washed everything, so I can't return.  Ugh!
