Washington Babies

Things no one told me about becoming a mom...

1.  That diaper bags are HEAVY.

2.  That if you BF, you have potential to leak after taking a shower.  (I've heard of milk bathes, but milk showers???)

3.  That breast milk can spray.  This was definitely proven the other night when DS was being a sloppy eater and pulled away during a let down.  My boob juice ended up spraying my husband who was sleeping a few feet away.  DH was like "What was that?"  Yup, my boob just sprayed you.

I shouldn't admit this but I'm going to anyway. I used to intentionally shoot DH when he made me mad. Waste of milk maybe but I thought it was pretty freaking funny.

    2. I'm glad I'm not the only one! I carefully dry my bewbies off now because of this.

    3. Yep! DS gets sprayed in the eye when he pulls off to fast or is being sloppy. Hysterical!

  • LOL! I PPH this post. It totally brings me back to the BFing days. Who can ever forget milk spraying stories. I remember being desperate to stop my milk from spraying everywhere.
  • lol! I remember every single one of those things. Breast pads were my best friend for almost a year! I am so glad to not wear them anymore- until #2 is born, anyway.

hehe, forgot about the shower thing. Good times.
