and her adjusted size is in the 75th percentile for weight, height, and head circumference! They said she has good muscle tone and is developmentally ahead of her adjusted age.
We were told to start doing tummy time with a towel/blanket rolled under her arms, anyone else told to do this? It was something to do with helping her to hold her head up higher while on her tummy. I have a mini boppy pillow, would that work just as well?
Also, they said she probably has "silent reflux" and recommended we get a wedge for under her mattress, anyone have any experience with this? (I've yet to google any of this).
Re: So we met with the preemie specialist today
Wow, nice work!
We were told by Georgia's PT to roll up a blanket and place it under her arms for support as well. We would use the Boppy too. This was a definite for us due to Georgia's plagiocephaly and torticollis.
We weren't given a dx with reflux but Georgia grunted a lot when she was small and would spit up from time to time so she has slept with a wedge since she was about 2 months old or so. She still likes it! We bought an inexpensive one at BRU for about $15.
hth and GL!
Nice!
We used a mattress wedge and a sleep positioner (slept on his side) which worked great!
We got ours at BRU!
