Why is this bothering me so much?

I get emotional when any of the kids have a birthday.  But for some reason, Nathan turning 10 on the 23rd is really eating at me.  I don't know if it is everything that we have gone through and he made it this far, or the fact that he isn't a baby anymore (he hasn't been for a while) 

Can't he be 9 forever???? :(

    Maybe it's because he's double digits now? I'm sentimental about mini milestones too. I feel like a goof but every little thing means so much to me. So don't feel bad... it's just cause you love him. Lucky boy. =)

    I know how you feel. I felt the same way when Jeremy turned 10 y/o, the whole not-single-digits-not-a-little-kid-anymore thing. This past birthday when he turned 14 y/o was actually the hardest for me so far, he's like a real full fledged teenager now Crying
