I have a unicornate uterus and I am considered "high risk" throughout my pregnancy. Today I started bleeding, a lot, just not spotting but actual bleeding.
I immediately called the doc and went in for another u/s. ( I just had an u/s on Sat.) Everything looked good and the lil' bean is actaully 3 days bigger than what it was on Saturday, so it's growing. But unforunately, I am still bleeding...
Has anyone expereinced something like this? I am currently on "pelvic rest" until the bleeding stops.
Re: Bleeding & Pregnancy...
I had two episodes of bleeding early on in my pregnancy, and everything was fine both times. They think it was just the placenta failing to fully attach. The second time was heavier and it took a while to totally stop, I had brown spotting for a long time.
That bleeding has nothing to do with why I'm now high-risk; I now have a shortening cervix. I had no blood after 10 weeks and no spotting after 12.
I just answered your post below, but this made me think of something else...
Are you being seen by an actual high-risk doc (perinatologist or maternal-fetal medicine specialist)? If not, I would definitely rec. asking your regular OB for a referral!
