Thomas (all I hear all day is "choo choo on? choo choo on? choo choo on?" because they want me to put a Thomas DVD on) and the stupid Cat in the Hat cartoon from the 1970s (thanks to the ILs for that.)
The Polar Express. He has the book memorized, and all we do all day is "play" Polar Express. This entails me first lying on the couch (while he recites the part about me laying quietly in my bed listening for Santa's sleigh) then moving to a chair in the playroom (my "seat" on the Polar Express) while he uses his train table and recites the rest of the book. Thrilling, I tell you We have gone through the whole book 4 times already this morning.
He is also very into dinosaurs, but nothing trumps his trains and the Polar Express.

Elmo is our super saver reserve and can get him to do so many things, ie take a bath with Elmo, go potty like Elmo, brush your teeth with Elmo, etc. Other then that, he's into books and will sit and read for an hour at a time by himself in the corner. Different books every time but he has to spread them all out around him so he can see them. He's loved trains for the past year and I'm starting to hear a lot about dinosaurs.
Coloring peectures (pictures) lol - especially coloring them with daddy. I think they sit at the kitchen table for an hour a night just coloring several nights a week.
(Isn't it funny that these things seem to recycle themselves for new generations? I mean Toy Story came out 10 years ago, yet they toys were everywhere this Christmas. I'm sure a lot of that has to do with the 3rd installment coming out at the theater this summer, but still.)
Coloring with markers and pens, anything permanent, she's always asking for more paper, wants to draw no matter where we are. DH is thrilled, thinking she'll be an artist like him!
