I posted earlier about the hives-like rash K had when she woke up this morning. I took her to the doc and he said it does look somewhat like hives, but that they're irregular and a little inconsistent with "standard hives." He said it would usually be consistent with a food/med allergy, but she hasn't had anything new lately, and that doesn't explain the fever (which is back again tonight, so he'll want to see her again tomorrow). He said it could also be caused by a herpes (mouth sore) or strep throat virus, but she has no evidence of either of those, either, so we're kind of stumped for now.
She seems to be doing OK--just lethargic. I asked how she's feeling, and she murmured, "Happy....because I love you." Melt.
I'm taking it as extra snuggle time with her, and assuming that it's not anything freaky/dangerous for now. Hopefully it'll just go away, whatever it is!

Re: Update re: "WTH is this rash on K?" from earlier
We had the same exact type of hives happen to DD1 twice last year. It was definitely a food/drug allergy. I don't recall her getting a fever with it but your pictures could have been mine they looked so much alike! We had extensive allergy testing done and can not find the culprit We think the 1st time was vitamins and the 2nd time was an all natural juice so we have been wary of all natural/health products.
I'm so sorry you are dealing with this. I know how uncomfortable my DD was so I can empathize with you
Good Luck!
