Cracked Nipples

How long does it normally take for the cracks to heal...I've been using lanolin, and he's latching and feeding much better, so there's no pain past the initial latch, but there's still cracks.  Thanks for any suggestions!

i used gel pads and they healed in a few days.  gl.

Air actually seemed to work better for me. I bought medela breast shells and they were great.  I didn't even  need the lanolin after I got those.

My DD is 5 weeks today and I've had pain and cracked nipples for about 4 of those weeks. ?I've used everything, lanonlin, brreastmilk, air, gel pads, etc, etc and I still have cracks. ?BUT about a week ago the pain became significantly less. So, now I'm concentrating more on how they feel than how they look. ?Hopefully, they will heal one day. ?Sorry if I'm not much help - just wanted to let you know there was someone else out there with the same problem.
