anyone bf on one side and pump the other?

My right breast produces way more milk than my left, but I'm more comfortable (and so is dd) nursing on the left side. I think she has trouble latching onto the right side b/c it gets so full. Even if I express some before nursing, she never seems to get a good latch. Is it ok to only nurse on one side and pump the other?

I would think it would be fine. A woman in the BFing support group I go to just feeds on one side and doesn't even pump the other due to a lumpectomy she had. But if it were me, I would talk to an LC about getting a better latch on rightie.

That's what I do too. My left breast has a smaller nipple and DD really doesn't like it, and it hurts me a lot of the time. I usually only nurse the left side at night when it's more convenient/quieter than pumping.
