If you're having a bad day..anyone want to throat punch my H?

Seriously........ yesterday was my birthday and all day at work not one word from him about it. (he's off work all week). So I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt that maybe when I got home I'd have something there. NOPE! Same ol same ol. After dinner we were sitting on the couch and my mom calls to wish me happy bday. I was non-chalant on the phone until she asked me what special thing he did for me. I told her "it's been forgotten". She says "You mean he forgot your bday?" She was PISSED. I told her I had to go.

I sat there and H is all "What's wrong?"  I said "You forgot something?" He said "What?" and guessed like 2 or 3 stupid things. I finally started bawling and said "My birthday!". He apologized a buncha times. I told him he could always redeem himself tomorrow. I gave him a pouty lip and said "Baby please don't break my heart 2 days in a row." Well I had to work again today and I'm sitting here waiting to go home and checked the bank account and he hasn't done ANY shopping! I know sneaky sneaky of me but I'm really not up for another let down ya know? I don't care it's my bday as much as I just really want to feel SPECIAL for once. Like him go out of his way to do something that is just for ME. When he does "special" things for me, its usualyl stuff that he benefits from as well so it's not really "Special" for "me". If that makes any sense. I hope I'm making sense. Maybe my hormones are just outta wack.....I just feel really down and bummed and wanna crawl in the corner and CRY!

I'm sorry! Let him make it up to you if he tries. Don't beat a dead horse, or a dead DH if he actually tries tonight.  Happy Birthday!!!

That really sucks. I'm sorry, maybe he'll get his head out of his butt and take you out somewhere special tonight, who knows.

Thanks mamas! Yah I hope I know my H well enough (I married his ass) that he will be smart enough to do something special for me tonight!!! All I REALLY want is just to snuggle with a warm blanky, but a backrub in the least would be nice! I don't know we'll see. Sometimes men are soooooo moronic! grrr

He sounds like my DH.  I bought and wrapped all my own christmas presents, and stuffed my own stocking.  I totally feel your pain!!!

  Well the way our bank works is everything shows up immediately whether run as credit or debit, but it stays in "pending" status.

BUT I'm thinking maybe if he doesn't buy anything, he'll do something creative.  I'm still holding out hope! It's just hard when your feelings were hurt and your hormones are all jacked up.

Could he have gotten something with cash? DH is wise to me and if is doing something special for me he will buy it with cash.
