What's open tomorrow?

Obviously the bank, post office, schools, etc. are all closed tomorrow.

What about stores? Are they typically open or closed on New Year's Day? I have a bunch of errands that I didn't have time to do today and was hoping to be able to do them tomorrow since dh will be home to stay with the kids...

around here I think most stores are closed.  They close today around 6 or 7 and open again on Saturday.

I know Walmart's open, and I would think other big stores like that are open.
