F/U to the $1200 I found Tues night

Right at least you have the money but I'd be disappointed. I worked so hard for National Board Certification and it will mean an extra $3000.  I have been planning all along to use it on daycare for this baby (my preference that MIl does not watch her during the week 1-2x so I'd like to pay for daycare long story.) I was thinking I may be able to spare the 400 or so for professional pictures that i have always wanted to do - we have someone fabulous in our town who does them - such a difference.  It's not like you can go back and do them later.  Then DH lost his job - nothing he did.  They laid off over half the fire dept based on seniority.

 

So the money wil now be going to mortgage.

I was going to say that it was fate that you found it when you did! Bummer to have to put it towards something like a water heater instead of something fun! But I'm glad you found it BEFORE the water heater went out!

So scary.  I was *just* asking DH how many guys he has under him at this point.  With the budget the way it is with the city, I'm thankful with every new hire!

And, OP, I'm so glad you found that money so that it doesn't have to come out of every day expenses!
