Paci Clips.

Who uses them? My mom got Molly one and it seems like a good idea for when we are out and about, but I put it on her shirt today and she just wanted to chew on the strap of it.

I don't know, they don't seem overly safe to me, but maybe I am just too paranoid.

Re: Paci Clips.

  • We have one for when we go out. I think that the string is too short to do any harm. I doubt it would even wrap around his neck. I do clip it a little lower though, just in case.

  • Other than the occasional pinching of my child by my husband who has off days - they are a godsend.
  • We use a clip occasionally. The Nuk brand. I get paranoid about the strap as well so I never leave it on his shirt while he sleeps or is laying down,

  • M&K will only take pacis in the car so I have the strap hooked to the seat strap so I know where to grab while driving....LOVE IT. DD#1 however used hers always and I strapped it to the side of her bib. Never in bed though.

  • I use one when we go some where, S is always trying to chew on th strap too.

  • I don't use one, but I am an overly cautious person....everything I have ever read said not to use one, but many people do.  I think as long as you are with them it would be fine, but I do not like any strings or anything by her.

  • I knitted one for DD. I use it when we are out and about b/c I'm not sticking a paci that has fallen on the floor of Target back in my baby's mouth.

  • Love them. She pulls her paci in and out now so without it I would be screwed.
  • I, too, use it when we go out.  Knowing where to find the pacifier while driving with one hand and reaching behind the seat with the other is very helpful...

This. It is perfect when you're in the car!

  • I think they are a PITA.  I thought it was a great idea but then when I used one she kept catching the strap with her arm and pulling the paci out of her mouth.

Also, where are you supposed to put them?  We have the MAM one and clipping it to her shirt seemed like it was poking her in the neck, so I clipped in on her pants but that seemed awkward.

  • I have one and I love it but I use it differently than most do. We clip the paci to a small stuffed animal of his. It makes it impossible to lose, and also gives me  a sort of light prop for when he keeps spitting it out. Sort of like a make shift wubanub. We carry his egg (humpty dumpty) everywhere lol.
