Pregnant after a Loss

Back pain and cramp-like pressure in my stomach

I feel like I should no better, but hopefully you can all understand that everything still freaks me out.  For the past few days I've had some lower back pain and pressure in my lower abdomen that is almost cramp-like. I'm a little over 7 weeks so I'm hoping that it's just a big "growth" week and things are moving along.  I've felt fine up until then, besides the week of my BFP when I had monstrous cramps. I had an u/s last week and saw the heartbeat so at least that's somehting!  Is this normal?

Re: Back pain and cramp-like pressure in my stomach

  • I had a lot of lower back pain and cramping in the first trimester, it's normal.  Call the doctor if it gets severe or if you start to bleed.  Great news about the h/b!

  • Sounds normal. I've been having it off and on some weeks. It's just things stretching out and growing.

  • It is totally normal but still totally frightening!

I am sorry you are feeling all this pain and worry right now.  I say just take it easy and maybe enjoy a nice warm bath if you can.  The pain/cramping/stretching will come and go.

  • Thanks everyone! I was just looking for some reassurance and it definitely helped.
