i know everyone has different ideas on how much sex is enough, more than enough, adequate, often, etc. so in this poll, i am asking how much sex do you think is the "appropriate" amount-- enough to satisfy you (and ideally your partner) without it being overwhelming.

Edit: if your sex drive has changed during pregnancy, go with what it is now.

i used to say 3-5 times a week.... now it's 2-3 times. and he's lucky if he gets that. maybe later in the second tri it'll go back up...

Whats a sex drive?..lol I love to be close to my dh and cuddle actually I'm pretty needy these days but I have zero desire to have sex. So maybe once a month.

I could go without for a much longer time now. I tell DH atleast once on the weekends so he has something to look forward to and usually once on a weeknight we end up doing it too.

Pre-pg I would say once or twice a week on average, sometimes more, sometimes less. Since pg I've had almost zero interest. It's sad really. The few times that I felt like attempting it, it was uncomfortable and not enjoyable for me. I doubt we will try it again until after LO arrives, unless I'm trying to induce my own labor and I'm desperate.

Before pregnancy, I wanted it all the time! Now, geesh - I have virtually no sex drive! Can't wait for it to come back!!

I am too scared (and with a lingering cold) to have sex. A week after our BFP, I got sick, and am still on the mend. DH hasn't slept in our bed in two weeks because he doesn't want my germs! I hope we get back to at least once a week when I get a little further along, and feel better.

I think I actually have a higher sex drive than DH. We are a 3-5 a week couple but sometimes it's more. We've had to make adjustments because of my belly but other than that, it's still good.

I have the higher sex drive than DH - pre pg and now -

but he is totally freaked out to have sex - he's scared he'll "hurt something" or induce early labor  -

if he's not comfortable , it's just not worth the effort ( sad, but true )

i doubt we'll have "cuddle time" until I'm trying to induce labor

he's really cute about lots of hugs and kisses and snuggling though !

This.  We average once a week now during pg.  But I am a cuddle whore so we do that a lot... I know its not the same but at least its something.
