EBF'ers - do you give your LO a night time bottle? If so, how much do they take? We just started this to help determine if his nighttime waking was related to being hungry. We started out attempting a 5 oz bottle. Tonight I had pumped 8 oz earlier so I just decided to offer it to him. He gladly accepted and took it the same as a 5 oz. Seemed like a lot to me. But what do I know - LOL. Wondering what your experiences are!

Re: BF'ers - bedtime bottle?
his last feeding (nursing) is at 9pm and he only eats for 3-5 mins (usually 8-10). he sleeps 10hrs straight. Some mornings, after sleeping 10 hrs, he'll wake up and play (talk) in his crib for 15-20 mins, so for my ds, i think he's fine going without eating for so long.
i know i didn't answer your question, sorry, just hoping this is helpful.
We are experimenting. Luke EBF's throughout the day and night but we've been trying a bottle of formula before bed which seemed to help him sleep for longer. He's not a great sleeper.
Tonight though, we didn't. I have a bad cold. He's coming down with one as is DH. I'd rather he get bm so I nursed him for a few minutes as he went to bed and after he woke 1.5 hours later.
Hopefully, he'll be down now until 1am where I may give him a top up if he wakes up and then put him back down.
He's never really slept longer than 3.5 hours (as of this week) and likes to nurse every 3 hours regardless.
The good news - it's helped me to lose 70lbs. The bad news - month 6 of sleep deprivation. The crib sleeping is helping though.
