When did you/will you take out your belly button ring?

Just wondering when you will or when you did take out your belly button ring?  My belly button hasn't popped yet but it's definetely making my ring stick out quite a bit when I wear a more form fitting shirt!  I've had it pierced for about 8 years now. Will I have to worry about it closing up if I take it out for the next few months? Or maybe just take it out when I go out/am teaching?

They took mine out when I had a hysteroscopy/laparoscopy 2 years ago. I tried putting it back in about a year ago, but it was uncomfortable and I was feeling a little silly being 35 with a belly piercing.

I don't know when my SIL took hers out during her pregnancy but she delivered over a year ago, hasnt put the ring back in to wear on a regular basis - if at all really and it's still definitely open. And she only had hers a couple years..not 8.

My belly button hasn't popped yet either - in fact it doesn't show any sign of popping, but I took my ring out around 18 weeks.  It was just starting to get uncomfortable.  I don't know if I'll put it back in again afterwards.

With my first, I took my ring out at about 20 weeks.  The piercing grew back together during my pregnancy and I haven't had it repierced.

I don't have mine in anymore but I haven't had it for a few years. My belly button isn't popped yet and I am wondering if it will. The bottom part is almost completely flat but the top has this little lip overhang thing going on. If I still had the ring in, I think it would be ok, going by where the scar is. I did have a barbell and not a hoop though.

My BFF did not take hers out until she was almost 8 months but she never got it back in after that.

I actually took mine out when I had my D&C back at the end of June and havent put it back in yet. I have had it pierced for 4 years now, and I can still see that its open.

I still have mine in. I asked my OB about it andshe said prob have to take it out at around 30 weeks. I did buy a plastic barbell to putin b/c my metal one was getting uncomfortable.

I've had mine done 3 times and it got infected all 3 times so I took mine out a long time ago. ha.

I just took mine out last week too. I'm also a teacher, and it was really obvious under my clothes, and the full panels were uncomfortable with it on. I heard you can get some special pregnancy ones that are really soft and plastic-like.

My bb never popped in my 1st pg but I took it out around 20 ish weeks.  A few weeks after I had my dd I just cleaned it really well and put some vaseline/neosporin on it and put it in.  It hurt a tiny bit but not bad at all.

I took mine out 5 years ago when we got married ) but the hole is still there and it's stretching out all weird!

I actually took mine out about a month ago. While I was at work I had to climb behind a patient's bed to do a procedure and while I was doing that I must have rubbed my belly against the headboard. The ball in the hoop popped out. I haven't put that ball in for years and wasn't going to try to do it. So I left it out.

I had to take mine out when I had my lap/hysteroscopy in July. I tried to put it back in a few weeks after and I couldn't get it in. So it's a lost cause for me. I knew I'd have to take it out eventually anyway.
