closed up like a steal trap

I had my 36 week appointment today. My ob did an internal, and while LO is head down, the dr said I'm definitely still closed up! I was kinda hoping that there would have been SOME progress, since I've been in so much pain...but I guess not! She (the ob) did say that I have birthing hips though lol

    My OB told me that my water can still break with a closed cervix. I'm 40w3d and I am not dilated at all. So there's hope for you, at least! Me, I'm not so sure!

    It means nothing.  I went to the Dr. two days before I delivered my son and my cervix was still high up and closed tight.  There are also women that walk around for weeks dialated and efaced.

    I was closed up like a steal trap at my appointment today too.  But my doc said just because I was not dialated not to take that for granted and go out of state for the weekend or anything like that lol.
