Bad 37wk appt

I went in for my 37 week appt today and it was not good.  I had protein in my urine, so they had the nurse give me a catheter to get another sample.  It took her 3 tries to get it in.  She said she was having trouble since I was so swollen down there.  It was painful, I've never had that done before while awake.  My urine came back with protein again.  Now I have to do a 24hr urine collection.  If it still comes back positive, I will be induced this weekend.

Good grief!!!  I would have just asked for some water and waited as long as it took to get another sample to them.  That is nuts!

This. Everyone knows pregnant women can produce urine every 10 minutes! LOL! But seriously, sorry, that must have sucked.

That funny I just has my 36 week apt and I also have protein in my urine and high blood pressure I spend 3 hours in the hospital but they just sent me home! Thank god...

ive never had a catheter while awake either, but i cant imagine its very pleasant! look on the bright side, baby might be here this weekend
