NBR - house hunting... (AW)

well DH and i were finally able to go together to see about getting a home loan - and we were approved - for more than we were expecting! - but we are limiting ourselves to what we feel comfortable with...  and we went to see if our realtor was working today... AND she was and we went and looked at houses today! SO EXCITING! and will most likely check out some more houses tomorrow... so far we only really saw 2 we really liked. 

i would SO LOVE to not be "throwing away" our money each month on rent and actually own a house.  and our realtor said that there is a good chance that if we find a house that we can be in it before our LO arrives!

YAY..with the economy and the housing market being what it is definitely a buyer's market..you will probably have no problem getting in one..good luck

How exciting! If you're first time home buyers (or it it's been three years since you've owned) you are probably eligible for the $8000 rebate. Ask your realtor!

that's awesome!!  me and DH were thinking about looking into buying a house before the LO arrives, but that's in 3 months.  I don't know if that's going to be possible for us, but we'll see!!  GL with your house hunting.  Such exciting times for you!!

GL.  A word of advice- even if it looks like a deal is going to happen, keep looking!  A friend of ours and my sister have put in several offers for several houses (mainly foreclosures and short sales, which is the majority of the market right now) only to here weeks later that their offers were rejected or out-bid.  Nothing is final until you sign the papers!
