Did you have any trouble bf'ing your LO right after he/she was born? I was recently told I am going to have a C-section and now I'm concerned that it's going to interfere with bf.
I didn't do it until I was in our room and out of recovery but I had no problems with it. I hadn't planned on a c-section so BF was a big worry when I found out in the hospital. I have to say, I was so out of it in recovery that I couldn't have BF'd but by the time I was settled in our room, I was ready to BF.

This for me, too! Good luck, I'm sure it will work out for you if you want it to!
I nursed when in recovery, so about 30ish min. after he was born. The only problem I had was positioning him b/c I was numb up to my chin and couldn't feel my arms or anything so the nurse had to move my arms for me, it was crazy. Obviously I didn't feel a dang thing or even a tad bit of pressure during the c/s because of this!
Not one bit. I was in recovery for about 45mins after the 30mins or so it took to put me back together in the OR before I was able to see my son.
I talked to the LC at my hospital before hand and she told me to ask the nurses (put husband in charge of this) to hold off on giving him a bath until after you have a chance to nurse him/her for the first time. Of course they will wipe the baby clean in the meantime. The smell of the amniotic fluid still on his skin will aid in making the association of mom and nursing.
I didn't have any problems. I started bf-ing while we were in recovery. They say that really helps, if you can bf right after you deliver. Also, the hospital I delivered let us keep dd with us, so I could bf whenever she wanted which also helps.
Re: C-Section Momma's
