We really liked the pediatrician's office we visited this morning! It is a pretty large practice here in the town where we live. One of their satellite offices is 1/2 mile from our house, right in our neighborhood! Their main office has weekend and evening hours. There is a doctor on call 24 hours a day, and a triage nurse line you can call with questions. They offer same day sick baby appointments (though we would possibly need to travel to a different sattelite location should the location near us be full), and book well baby appointments about 3 months out. Everyone was really friendly and knowledgeable, and we really liked the one doctor from the practice we got to meet. He was very kind and sensitive when he asked whether or not we had other children and we shared about Isaac.The doctors in this practice don't associate with the hospital where I will be delivering, so we will just have one of the staff pediatricians there look Eliana over before being discharged and then take her to this pedi's office a few days later.

I feel really great about it... this practice came highly recommended, and it seems like a great fit for us! I am really glad!

That's great news! Would you mind sharing the name of the practice? I'm in MD too and I think I have a practice lined up but I'm curious about this one you mentioned because it sounds great.

I used the list of questions from the Bump. I can't remember where I found it. I think I just typed "pediatrician questions" into the search box. I didn't end up asking all of them, as many were answered by the website.
