Ok, so we are doing a ONEderland birthday theme for D's 1st birthday. Cake wise, what should I do? (can't post clicky at work)
1. Bake Cake?
2. Bake Cupcakes with snowflake theme?
3. Order cake?
4.Order cupcakes?
I'm fairly crafty, I just worry about time constraints ect, BUT I want it to be special. TIA!

If you do 1 big cake a few cupcakes you could do in in a few hours. I had DS's party at 2 so I had the entire day to get ready. I baked the cakes the night before and decorated the day of. Keep the rest of the food simple (veggies and hummus/dip, snacky food) and make the focus be on the cake and ice cream.

She is most awesome.
I'm doing a 6 inch smash cake, surrounded by cupcakes and having Melissa from a cupcake named desire do it...she even rents out the cake stands, so it's pretty easy on our end. Plus she's about the least expensive I've found, and her cakes are fairly tasty (have only tried two flavors so far).
If you want you could bake the smaller one yourself and order the surrounding cupcakes.
