Colic

My baby girl has colic. It started last week and it has been pretty stressful since then. She also has reflux and has been barely sleeping, but now it?s really bad. For the past days, she has been awake for 9 hours or more and than she sleeps for 3 hours and so on. Yesterday, she was awake for 11 hours. She cries a lot because she is in pain and she nearly turns blue from so much crying. Then she can hardly breathe and I cannot do anything to calm her down. I don?t know what to do anymore. We will see the paediatrician on the 6^th of January and hopefully she will give us something to calm her. I am exhausted and I don?t even have the time to eat, brush my teeth or anything. I read that colic goes away when babies are 3 months old, but I also know that I had colic when I was a baby and I had it until I turned one. I never slept and cried non-stop just like my daughter. I really pray that she doesn?t go after me, because I don?t really know what to do. We don?t have anyone here to help us. Our families are in Europe and we don?t have any friends here. So it?s just me and my husband. But he has to go to work and he helps as much as he can when he gets home, but still, it?s pretty hard for both of us. I am sorry for the long post, but I just needed to talk to somebody, because otherwise, I am going crazy. I want to know if your baby has (or has had) colic, what do you give them and has it really gone away when your baby turned three months? Thank you for reading this. I really appreciate it.

After our pedi had no further alternatives, we went to the chiro and it helped a lot.  I rec that.

DS had it pretty bad.  It got a lot better at 3 months but it's recently reared it's ugly head around bed time....I just rock him and try to love him and run the vacuum in the room if I need to while we rock.

At your DD's age, it might not hurt to get a few pairs of earplugs if the crying gets to you?
