Lately he's been putting his fist in his mouth and sometimes wailing. It's like he's throwing a fit but not really. Is there any early signs of teething?
the sign that told me for sure was when DS would grab at his mouth frustratingly and cry. teething tablets are great! during his peak pain I give him teething tabs AND tylenol
I'm wondering this as well... what are surefire signs? DS has been moving his lower jaw a lot, gnawing on toys, hands, anything he can, drooling a lot too. But so far his gums are not swollen, redder or purple, nor do I see little pearls popping out.

DD first tooth took a while, about a month, she was always a drooler, but it seemed excessive and she was chewing on my fingers a lot - when she usually prefers toys, I think the softness felt good. But to be honest she was sick at the same time so I don't know if her fever and diarrhea were teething related or from her cold - but I know that those can be symptoms as well.
