Digni-tees

I was wondering what you ladies thought of these patient gowns you can buy:

Digni-tees

Think the hospitals would even let you wear them?  From what I've heard any kind of clothes seem to go after delivery...not sure about before hand...would think everything's got to be sterile.  Just curious...

Re: Digni-tees

  • awww they're really cute.  I guess you could ask the hospital (if you were planning on getting a tour or something).  By the way, I used to live in the Lehigh Valley!  I loved it, but the DH got a job down here in MD, right before we got married, and this is where we're staying for a while.  I miss it in PA.

  • To be honest, I'm really not interested in spending any money on something that will get covered in sweat and grosser bodily fluids.  Nor am I interested in bringing that something back as dirty laundry to have to take care of (assuming it's not totally stained and ruined).  Hospital gowns may not be the prettiest things in the world, but why spend the time and money wearing something cute, only to have it ruined during labor and delivery?

  • I wouldn't wear anything other than a hospital gown during actual labor and delivery, but I hated wearing the gown when I was in the post partum room and had people coming to visit and take pictures when I had my DS. So, this time I bought a cute maternity/nursing nightgown to wear when I get transfered. It's red (to cut back on the visability of stains) and since it's a nightgown, it still allows access for the nurses to do their thing. Though it was an added cost, I'm looking forward to feeling more comfortable in my own skin and plus if it doesn't get ruined, it'll be great to wear the first few weeks I'm home.

These shirts seem cool, but still too hospital-ish for my tastes.
